How Prior Route researches and publishes
Prior Route separates three kinds of statement: rules issued by authorities, claims made by commercial providers, and editorial analysis. They do not use the same evidence standard.
Sources for laws, rates and official procedures
For jurisdiction-specific rules, the preferred order is:
- the issuing authority, statute, tax authority, ministry or public register;
- a regulator, professional body or chamber writing within its remit; and
- a named, qualified practitioner when no usable primary source is available.
A commercial provider’s page is not evidence that a legal arrangement is compliant or suitable. When an authoritative source is unavailable, the gap is shown as an open question rather than filled with a plausible answer.
Sources for provider information
A provider’s official product, pricing, terms and programme pages are valid sources for what that provider publicly claims about itself. They do not independently verify service quality, implementation performance, country availability for a particular buyer or the final contract. Provider pages therefore identify claims as provider-published and tell readers what to confirm in an order form or sales call.
Affiliate or sponsor status is not evidence and is not a ranking factor. Current commercial relationships are listed at Commercial disclosures.
AI assistance and human accountability
AI may help organise sources, compare drafts, translate text and flag inconsistencies. It does not count as a source, fact-checker or professional reviewer. The operator decides whether a standing page is published and remains accountable for corrections. A jurisdiction-specific article does not claim professional review unless a named reviewer and verifiable qualification are shown.
What a research page should show
Where applicable, a page includes the issuing body, source title, source URL, verification date and effective date. The present system provides page-level provenance, not a sentence-by-sentence claim ledger. The page must describe that limitation accurately.
Publication status controls discoverability. Draft, fact-review, expert-review, needs-update and retired pages remain outside indexing and the sitemap. Only approved pages are eligible to appear. Standing editorial pages may be approved without jurisdictional source lists because they describe the site’s own current practices.
Updates and corrections
When an official source changes, an update records the source it supersedes. Pages citing the old source are treated as stale until they have a later verification date. The release checks are designed to stop stale approved pages from shipping silently.
Material errors are dated and corrected under the Corrections policy.
Limits
Prior Route does not determine worker status, permanent establishment, immigration eligibility or whether a proposed arrangement is lawful. Those conclusions depend on the complete facts and a qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
