EOR provider comparison · verified 2026-08-30

Deel vs Remote: the $100 monthly gap is not the whole decision.

Deel currently publishes EOR pricing from $599 per employee per month. Remote publishes a $699 standard price. That establishes a public service-fee gap; it does not establish your final invoice, country execution or exit cost.

The short version: on current public pages, Deel posts a lower starting fee and a larger stated EOR country count. Remote makes more specific public statements about no employee minimum, no EOR platform/onboarding/setup fee and no upfront deposit. These are shortlist facts, not a final winner.

“Not assessed” does not mean “not available.” It means we did not find an equivalent statement in the official sources checked for this comparison.

Turn the public monthly fees into an annual service-fee snapshot

This is arithmetic, assuming unchanged headcount for twelve months at the current published monthly fees. It excludes salary, employer charges, benefits, FX and negotiated discounts, and is not an actual budget.

Four things that can actually reverse the decision

  1. 01

The employing chain in the target country

Who is the contractual employer, are partners involved, and who handles payroll, HR and escalation? A global country count cannot answer the operating question for your one country.

  2. 02

    Equivalent benefits and employer costs

Give both providers the same salary, start date and benefit tier, then require statutory and optional costs separately. Do not treat the service-fee difference as the invoice difference.

  3. 03

    Funding currency, FX and cutoff

A multi-currency payroll can make the $100 headline gap secondary. Ask both providers to replay a sample invoice using the currency you will actually fund.

  4. 04

Offboarding or moving to your entity

Confirm notice, termination, deposit release, data export and contract transfer. One difficult exit can cost more than several months of platform-fee difference.

Send this like-for-like quote sheet to both providers

Ask each provider to fill every line instead of returning one estimated total. Unknown amounts should stay marked as unknown; a verbal sales promise should not fill a contract blank.

  1. Legal name of the local contractual employer and every subcontracted operator
  2. Service fee by month/year, commitment, discount and price-change clause
  3. Salary, statutory employer contributions and mandatory benefits
  4. Optional benefits: employer/employee share, waiting periods and continuation
  5. Deposit, prefunding, payroll cutoff and consequences of late funding
  6. Billing currency, FX-rate source, markup and conversion timestamp
  7. Onboarding timeline, work-authorisation boundary and delay ownership
  8. Payroll-error correction SLA, escalation path and liability cap
  9. All termination, offboarding, data-export and entity-transition costs
