Questions before you start

What is in the $79 packet?
Official Form T1135 pages 1 to 3, pre-filled in Part A or Part B; Part B schedule pages when a category has more than one property; an answer sheet with every CAD conversion and the Bank of Canada rate used; and a filing checklist for NETFILE through tax software or mailing to the Winnipeg Taxation Centre.
Part A or Part B?
You file T1135 when the total cost of your specified foreign property was over CAD 100,000 at any time in the year. Part A, the simplified method, is for totals under CAD 250,000 throughout the year; Part B is for CAD 250,000 or more at any time. The wizard picks it for you.
I missed past years. Which packet?
The Catch-up packet ($129) builds every past year and adds a late-filing cover letter and penalty relief notes. The basic late penalty is $25 a day, up to $2,500 per return.
Do you need my SIN?
No. You write your SIN on the form by hand. Your draft stays in this browser.
